The first edition of the AfrikAsia Festival, organized by AfrikAsia Culture, recently took over the Salle Jacques CHIRAC in Paris' 17th arrondissement, offering a remarkable event celebrating the richness and diversity of Africa and Asia. The festival, which took place on June 3, was an extraordinary experience where visitors were immersed in a world of spellbinding music, exotic flavors and captivating visual arts. A varied and captivating program :

The AfrikAsia Festival offered a rich and varied program, guaranteeing unforgettable moments for all participants. Enchanting performances punctuated the day, with talented artists from Africa and Asia.


Celebrating gastronomy :

In addition to the music, the AfrikAsia Festival also delighted visitors' taste buds with a host of food stalls offering a delicious fusion of African and Asian cuisines. Traditional dishes such as thieb, crispy pork, couscous, Afghan rice and egg rolls delighted gourmets and introduced them to new, exotic flavors.


A cultural exhibition space :

The festival also highlighted the visual arts, with an exhibition space dedicated to emerging Afro-Asian artists. Visitors were able to admire a wide range of artworks, from contemporary painting to photography and fashion. It was a unique opportunity to discover unique artistic expressions and support local talent.


A stimulating round-table discussion on the cultural challenges facing Africa and Asia in the future :

Beyond the musical performances and culinary delights, the AfrikAsia Festival also offered a unique opportunity to explore cultural issues relating to Africa and Asia during a captivating round-table discussion. The hour-long discussion was moderated by two eminent speakers, Mr. DU, international consultant to UNESCO, and Mr. MOUKALA, Director of the UNESCO office in Mali.

The speakers shared their thoughts on the challenges and opportunities inherent in preserving and promoting the cultural wealth of Africa and Asia.

The discussion generated lively interest among participants, who asked pertinent questions and shared their own experiences and perspectives. The round table opened up constructive dialogues and encouraged collaboration between the different regions, underlining the importance of Africa and Asia in the global cultural scene.

This enriching exchange of ideas confirmed the AfrikAsia Festival's commitment to going beyond pure entertainment and creating a space where crucial issues concerning the cultural future of Africa and Asia can be explored and debated. He stressed the importance of international cooperation and raising awareness of the challenges facing these regions, while highlighting the opportunities that emerge from their unique cultural heritage.


In this way, the AfrikAsia Festival succeeded in combining entertainment and reflection, offering participants a complete and engaging experience. The round table discussion on cultural issues was a real added value to the event, reinforcing the impact and importance of celebrating Afro-Asian cultures in an ever-changing world.
